Custom software
When off-the-shelf does not fit.
Sometimes the reason everything is slow is that your business does not work the way the software assumes it does.
| Tier | Price | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Tools & integrations | From $750 | Scripts, connectors, internal utilities. |
| Client portals | $3,500+ | Logins, records, documents, payments. |
What gets built
Small internal tools, connectors between systems that will not talk to each other, and client portals — logins, records, documents, approvals, payments. The kind of thing that removes a recurring weekly headache rather than adding a new subscription.
How we decide it is worth it
Custom software is the most expensive option on this site and it is right less often than people expect. Before quoting, we will look for an existing product that does the job for $40 a month. If one exists, we will point you at it. Building is worth it when the process is genuinely specific to you, or when the off-the-shelf options would cost more per year than building once.
Questions
What happens if you disappear?
You get the source code and the accounts it runs on, same as with a website. It is built on ordinary, widely-used tools rather than anything proprietary, so another developer can pick it up. Ask this question of anyone you hire.
